Mapping Italy's solar systems, one at a time

In Italy there is nowhere to see what a solar system actually cost — on a house, on a warehouse or on the ground. There are the price lists of the people selling and the quotes that reach you, and nothing in between: whoever buys decides in the dark, once, on a figure that starts in the tens of thousands.

A quote on its own cannot be judged: what makes it comparable is the price per kWp installed, and almost nobody works it out. If you already own a system, put yours in: we tell you straight away, and it stays in the archive for whoever still has to decide.

Who's behind Sunnix

It's not a black box. It's the tool we use ourselves, first.

Sunnix was born inside Solink, which has worked in solar for years — and we use it ourselves every day, to simulate and design the systems we work on. We built it to answer the question we get asked most often — "is my system actually performing well?". That's why we don't just give you a score: we show you the real production, the production expected from your local weather, and the gap between them, day by day.

Sunnix has been around for a while: thousands of people already use it to simulate and design their systems. Digital-twin monitoring is our most recent feature — we just launched it and we're rolling it out carefully, one system at a time, before offering it at scale. If you have questions about how it really works before activating it, write to us — we answer personally, not a call center.

Why you can trust the numbers

Every number we give you has a source and a date

Tax deductions, incentives, energy prices, avoided CO₂: these are the figures you take to your accountant or your installer. For each one we record where it comes from and when somebody last checked it against the official source.

How we calculate everything
  • 50% deduction on your main home

36% on other properties, on up to €96,000 spread over ten yearly instalments.

Agenzia delle Entrate · checked on 13 agosto 2026 · in force until 31 dicembre 2026

  • 180% hyper-depreciation for businesses

The system cost is deducted with an uplift, provided output stays within 105% of consumption.

    MIMIT · checked on 13 agosto 2026 · in force until 30 settembre 2028

  • CO₂ factor of the Italian grid

How much carbon dioxide you actually avoid for every kWh you don't buy.

    ISPRA · checked on 13 agosto 2026

And when a rule is about to expire we notice first: an automated check fails ninety days before the deadline. That is not a figure of speech — it is why the Superbonus, abolished by the 2026 Budget Law, cannot sit in here winning comparisons.

Is your system producing what it should?

Sunnix compares what your system actually produces with what it should produce based on the day's weather. So you always know whether it's working well — and if something's off, it tells you right away.

We don't alert you when it rains. Only when something's actually wrong.

If your system produces less on a cloudy day, that's normal. But if it produces less on a sunny day, something's off. Sunnix tells weather apart from real faults, so you always know whether your system is working well.

  • Knows if it was cloudy or sunny in your area
  • Identifies dirty panels, dead strings, or faults
  • Calculates losses in euros, day by day

Solar monitoring, simulation and configuration in one platform

Sunnix is the Italian platform for solar system monitoring via digital twin technology. Unlike traditional monitoring systems, Sunnix requires no sensors, gateways or SIM cards. The system uses PVGIS climate data from the European Commission and real satellite weather to simulate your system's expected production every day, comparing it with the actual production recorded by your inverter.

The free Sunnix solar simulator calculates estimated energy production for any GPS position in Italy and Europe, considering solar irradiance, temperatures, horizon profile and local shading. The configurator lets you design the system directly on your roof map, selecting panels and inverters from updated catalogs of leading manufacturers (LONGi, JA Solar, Huawei, Fronius, SolarEdge, Enphase, Zucchetti). The technical report includes the bill of materials, monthly production curve and investment payback calculation.

Digital twin monitoring calibrates itself against your system's real production, telling clear days apart from mixed and overcast ones. When it detects an abnormal drop it identifies the probable cause — dirty panels, hardware fault, grid curtailment or exceptional weather — and works out the daily financial loss. Compatible with any inverter on the market: just upload your production data as a CSV.
