Connector types and
charging speeds

Not all charging is equal. Speed depends on the connector, the car's onboard charger (OBC), and the grid. Understanding the differences helps you choose the right solution for your habits.

Practical rule: for daily home use, a 7-11 kW wallbox is the optimal choice. It pays for itself in 2-4 years compared to public chargers.

Charging at night
costs much less

In Italy, electricity prices vary by time of day. The difference between charging at 2pm or 1am can be as much as 40%. Over a year, that means hundreds of euros.

Example: charging 50 kWh at F1 (€0.32) costs €16. The same charge at F3 (€0.18) costs €9. Saving: €7 per charge → €875/year over 125 charges.

LFP vs NMC

What battery type does your car have?

The two most common chemistries behave differently — especially for everyday charging.

LFP — Lithium Iron Phosphate

More robust and longer-lasting battery. Can be charged to 100% every day without degrading. Ideal for frequent charging.
