Socket types and charging speeds
Not all charging is equal. Speed depends on the socket, the car's on-board charger (OBC) and the grid connection. Understanding the differences helps you pick the right setup for your habits.
Rule of thumb: for everyday charging at home a 7-11 kW wallbox is the best choice. It pays for itself in 2-4 years compared with public chargers.

Charging at night costs much less
In Italy electricity is priced differently depending on the time of day. Between charging at 2pm and at 1am the difference is about 39%. Over a year that is hundreds of euros.
Example: charging 50 kWh on F1 costs €14,00; the same charge on F3 costs €8,50. That is €5,50 per charge, or €688 a year over 125 charges.
What kind of battery does your car have?
The two most common chemistries behave differently, above all in everyday charging.
A tougher, longer-lasting battery. It can be charged to 100% every day without degrading. Ideal if you charge often.
